Endurance, resilience, management skills, and intelligence are determining factors in the success of those who take on long-term challenges. We say even more – to those who propose to live. It is also with these assumptions that Horizons, Sports Tourism, has created its events over the 23 years that it has been in business and with the success that is known. We have never imposed barriers to the challenges we have developed, we just have very clear criteria for what we propose to implement.

Lately, for some and others, the challenge came to us to organize a race in our backyard, to bring the Backyard Ultra concept to Portugal with the “blessing” of Lazarus Lake. Once, twice challenged, the third time we decided to listen to David Faustino and go ahead with this project. It was a reality in Portugal, through Horizontes, Sports Tourism, in April 2022. In October, of that same year, we held the world championship.

In 2023 we want more participants and more laps of the course. We want a new record.
