Ultra-distances have created a new concept of travel, evasion, and mental well-being that we call “Maraturism”. Our principle in organizing races has always been to enhance these experiences while participating in our events. It is our main goal to build events and routes that allow unique and unspeakable experiences in places of high natural, historical, and human value. The Serra da Estrela and Seia, the city hosting the event, are part of one of Portugal’s richest natural heritages. The Serra da Estrela Natural Park is now considered a UNESCO heritage site through its Estrela Geopark.
